Ronald Hoffman is a professor of history and the director of the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture at the College of William and Mary. As the symposia director of the U. S. Capitol Historical Society from 1977-1993 he coedited the 15-book series Perspectives on the American Revolution. His Princes of Ireland, Planters of Maryland: A Carroll Saga, 1500–1782 (2000), written in collaboration with Sally D. Mason, won the Southern Historical Association’s Owsley Award and the Library of Virginia’s Literary Award for Nonfiction. Sir Walter Bodmer is a German-born highly respected British human geneticist. In 1985 he chaired a Royal Society committee which wrote The Bodmer Report which has been credited with starting the movement for the public understanding of science. Sir Walter Bodmer was the Principal of Hertford College, Oxford 1996–2005. In 2005 Sir Walter was appointed to lead a £2.3 million project undertaken by the Wellcome Trust at Oxford University to examine the genetic makeup of the United Kingdom. Richard de Clare "Strongbow" 2nd Earl of Pembroke born 1130 led the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland 1169 in the reign of Henry II married 1171 to Aoife Mac Murrough Princess of Leinster descendant of Brian Boru in 1172 he and his wife's uncle Archbishop Laurence O'Toole started the re-building in stone of Christ Church Cathedral Dublin.

During the last days of the late king Henry II he promised William Marshal the hand and estates of Isabel de Clare (1172–1220). King Richard I Coeur de Lion confirmed the offer and so in August 1189 at the age of 43 the Marshal married the 17-year-old daughter of Richard de Clare (Strongbow) whose mother in law Princess Aoife of Leinster had close family links with the O'Carroll of Ely Munster Eire.

The O'Carroll of Ely principality in the centre of Ireland in King's County was situated in the ancient province of Munster on the borders of Queen's County and the Lord Marshal of Leinster estates. The Lord Marshal and O'Carroll of Ely = FIXED PLACE LINE = known as = THE PALE = documented in 1206 which defined the strategic valley southern border boundary between Celtic Ireland and the Anglo-Norman Settlements within the province of Leinster in Ireland.

During the civil wars in Ireland William Marshal Lord of Leinster had taken two manors that the Bishop of Ferns claimed but could not get back some years after William's death the Bishop is said to have laid a curse on the family that William's sons would have no children and the great Marshal estates would be scattered each of Lord William Marshal's sons did become the Earl of Pembroke and the Earl Marshal of England but each died without issue. Henry III King of England attended a Temple Church London service to pray for the life of William Marshal the greatest Knight that ever lived.

The Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales and is the head of the judiciary and President of the Courts of England and Wales. The Lord Chief Justice is also the presiding judge of the Criminal Division of the Court of Appeal. The first Lord Chief Justice was enshrined in law under King Henry III who assumed the crown under the regency of the legendary William Marshal 1st Earl of Pembroke Lord of Leinster Marshal of England and protector of the crown. The Book of Dimma (Dublin, Trinity College, MS.A.IV.23) is an 8th-century Irish pocket Gospel Book originally from the Abbey of Roscrea founded by St. Cronan in the County Tipperary Ireland. In addition to the four Gospels in between the Gospels of Luke and John it has an order for the Unction and Communion of the Sick. It was signed by its scribe Dimma MacNathi at the end of each of the Gospels. This Dimma has been traditionally identified with the Dimma who was later Bishop of Connor mentioned by Pope John IV in a letter on Pelagianism in 640. The illumination of the manuscript is limited to illuminated initials three Evangelist portrait pages and one page with an Evangelist's symbol. In the 12th century the manuscript was encased in a richly gilt case by O'Carroll of Ely.

The present Archbishop of Westminster Cardinal Vincent Nichols heads the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Westminster in England.
